My First Snowy Day

My First Snowy Day
We had a very snowy day in January. For me, that was a wonderful day. I am from a town called San Jose in California. In San Jose, it never snows. We can visit the snow, but we must drive a long way to find it. For me, snow is special.
So when I woke up and looked out my window, I was very excited. The snow looked like a big blanket covering everything. There was snow in the streets, on the houses, and on the trees. It was so beautiful and peaceful.
As I was walking to school, big machines were already clearing the road. I enjoyed the sound the snow made when I stepped through it.
During school time, the students helped clear paths to make it easier to walk. They also played in the snow, and I went out to play with them. I made many snowmen. I had never made a snowman before. The students also made a little snow house called an igloo and threw snowballs at each other.
I tried to catch the falling snow on my tongue as I walked home. It was a very fun day. I am excited for the next snowy day.
