上真野地区は、旧鹿島町の中心街より北西に位置し、上真野川、真野川が貫流し合流して太平洋へ注いでいます。自然豊かな農村地帯であり、自然と調和しながら固有の歴史と文化を育み今に伝えています。現在地区を南北に貫く常磐自動車道が開通し、小山田、浮田地区には、サービスエリアが完成し多くの方々で賑わっています。変わりつつある風景とともに、地域住民が一体となり、明るく住み良い地域づくりを進めています。
本校は、明治５年「学制」が発布された翌年に、浮田小学校として産声をあげました。それから、幾多の月日が流れ、今年度で、創立１５０年目を迎えています。多くの子どもたちが、かけがえのない時を過ごし、様々な思い出とともにこの学舎を巣立っていきました。
校舎も大規模な耐震・改築工事が行われ、明るくきれいな環境が整いました。子どもたちは、新しい環境の中で、共に学び、共に支え合いながら学校生活を送っています。校庭の東側にある「明六の松」が、子どもたちを見守り続けています。 何事にもまじめに、そして真剣に取り組む子どもたちの姿は、本校の誇りです。このよさを認め、励まし、伸ばしながら新たな歴史と伝統を積み重ねていきたいと思っています。
School introduction
The Kamimano area is located northwest of the center of the former Kashima town, where the Kamimano River and Mano River flow through and join, and flow into the Pacific Ocean. It is a rural area rich in nature and has nurtured a unique history and culture in harmony with nature, and has been passed down to the present day. The Joban Expressway, which runs from north to south through the area, has now been opened, and service areas have been completed in the Oyamada and Ukita areas, which are crowded with people. Along with the changing landscape, local residents are working together to create a brighter and better place to live.
Our school was born as Ukita Elementary School in the year after the "school system" was issued in 1873. Many years have passed since then, and this year marks the 150th anniversary of our founding. Many of the children spent an irreplaceable time and left this school with many memories.
The school building has also undergone a major earthquake-proofing and renovation work to create a bright and clean environment. The children are learning together and supporting each other in their new environment. The Meiroku pine tree on the east side of the schoolyard keeps a watchful eye on the children. We are proud of our children for their diligence and seriousness in everything they do. We would like to continue to build on this new history and tradition while recognizing, encouraging, and stretching this goodness.
